Your details stay with me. This page explains exactly what I collect, why I collect it, and how you stay in control of it.
This website is operated by Alice Iverson, a sole proprietor based in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. Throughout this page, "I" and "my" mean Alice Iverson, and "you" means the person visiting this site or filling in one of my forms. You can reach me any time at alice@aliceiverson.com.
I keep this deliberately small. There are two kinds of information involved.
Information you give me. When you register for a training, request a resource, or get in touch, you choose to give me your first name and email address. Some forms may also ask for your phone number, your business name, or your website address. You decide what to share, and you can leave optional fields blank.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this one records standard technical details such as your browser type, your device type, the pages you visit, and the general region you are visiting from. This is used to understand which pages are useful, and it is not used to identify you personally.
When you fill in a form on this site, you are giving me permission to email you. I take that permission seriously, and I follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Every email I send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you are welcome to use it at any time. You can also simply email me and ask to be removed. Requests are honoured promptly, and you will not be asked to explain why.
Your information is mine and is kept confidential. I do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. It is shared only with the service providers that make this business run, and only to the extent they need it:
Some of these providers operate servers in the United States and other countries, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those countries. I will also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.
This site uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. They keep the site working properly and help me see which pages people find useful. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies whenever you like. Blocking them is fine, though some parts of the site may become less convenient to use.
I keep your contact information for as long as you are happy to hear from me, and for as long as I need it for the purposes described above. Records connected to a purchase are kept longer where tax and accounting rules require it. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to:

Your information is held in reputable platforms protected by encryption and access controls, and only I have access to my accounts. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while I take real care with your information, I cannot promise absolute security.
This site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given me their information, email me and I will remove it.
Some pages link to tools and programs I recommend, and I may earn a commission when you use those links, at no extra cost to you. Once you follow a link to another company's website, their privacy policy applies rather than mine, so it is worth reading theirs too.
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will be shared by email with anyone on my list.
